Gemeinsam wollen wir diskutieren: Welche Strategien haben queere und marginalisierte Communitys in der Vergangenheit entwickelt, um sichtbar zu bleiben und Widerstand zu leisten? Wie können wir uns künftig organisieren – über Generationen, Szenen und Orte hinweg? Und welche Rolle spielen dabei Filme, Festivals und kulturelle Produktionen als Mittel der Erinnerung und des Empowerments?

Doro Halbrock hat u. a. den Hallo: e.V. in Hamburg mitgegründet.Doros Hauptinteresse liegt im Schaffen unterstützender selbstorganisierter Strukturen, queerer Verbünde und ermöglichender Räume. Dey webt gerne Netze – sowohl lokal als auch international.
Suy Lan Hopman beleuchtet Erinnerungsarbeit im Kontext von Postkolonialismus
und fragt, wie sich koloniale Kontinuitäten und queere Verfolgungsgeschichten zusammendenken lassen.

Janni Jungblut ist Filmemacher*in, Autor*in und Dokumentationswissenschaftler* in und interessiert sich für Archive und Geschichte, Flucht und Migration sowie Sprachen. Der Dokumentarfilm REFUGE ist Janni Jungbluts Debütfilm. Janni teilt Wissen, wie wir als Queers historische Lernprozesse weitergeben können.
Zaniah Revlon bringt queeres Wissen aus Community Spaces ein – mit Fokus auf die Ballroom-Szene in Hamburg und die Praxis, Erinnerung in selbstorganisierten Räumen zu bewahren und neu zu erfinden. Sie hat in Hamburg den Ballroom Space Meow Mondayz mitgegründet.
Jona Diwiak arbeitet als Guide an der KZ-Gedenkstätte Neuengamme und interessiert sich in der Bildungsarbeit zu queeren Menschen im Nationalsozialismus besonders dafür, wie Lebens- und Verfolgungsgeschichten
intersektional gedacht und in ihrer Vielfalt vermittelt werden können.
Das Panel lädt dazu ein, eigene Fragen einzubringen und konkrete Ideen für queere Erinnerungspraxis zu entwickeln. Kommt vorbei, wenn ihr wissen wollt, wie Erinnerung widerständig werden kann – und wie wir Kämpfe verbinden können, um unsere Zukunft gemeinsam zu gestalten.

wird in Deutsche Gebärdensprache gedolmetscht.

Presenters
Doro Halbrock co-founded, amongst other things, ‘Hallo: e.V.’ in Hamburg; Doro’s main interest lies in creating supportive, self-organised structures, queer networks and enabling spaces. They enjoy building networks, both locally and internationally.
Suy Lan Hopman examines memory work in the context of postcolonialism and explores how colonial continuities and histories of queer persecution can be considered together.
Panelists
Janni Jungblut is a filmmaker, writer and documentary scholar with an interest in archives and history, displacement and migration, and languages. The documentary REFUGE is Janni’s debut film. Janni shares insights into how we, as queer people, can pass on historical learning processes.
Zaniah Revlon brings queer knowledge from community spaces – with a focus on the ballroom scene in Hamburg and the practice of preserving and reinventing memory in self-organised spaces. She co-founded the ballroom space Meow Mondayz in Hamburg.
Jona Diwiak works as a guide at the Neuengamme Concentration Camp Memorial and focuses in educational work on queer people under National Socialism. Jona is particularly interested in how life stories and accounts of persecution can be considered intersectionally and communicated in all their diversity.
The panel invites you to contribute your own questions and develop concrete ideas for queer practices of remembrance. Do come along if you want to find out how remembrance can become an act of resistance – and how we can unite our struggles to shape our future together.
The panel will be held in spoken German with an intepretation in the German
sign language.
